Summer Reading Program

Flip Open a Book and Flop Down and Read”

Our theme for this year’s summer reading program is Flip Open a Book and Flop Down and Read”
also known as “Flip Flop Reading”.

Students are required to read 30 picture books or 25 hours if reading books and magazines.  Kindergarten students may have some of the books read to them.  To meet the 25 hours of reading, students need to read 5 days a week for 30 minutes a day.

All students must complete the reading log to successfully complete the summer reading program.  Parents of younger students are encouraged to read to/with their children and assist them with completing the log.  Students with a RAZ Kids account may count the books read on this website for this reading incentive.  They may also listen to books on Tales to Go.
