About Reflections: All children deserve opportunities to explore and be involved in the arts. The National PTA Reflections program is PTA’s cornerstone arts program. It was developed in 1969 by Colorado’s PTA President Mary Lou Anderson to encourage students to explore their talents and express themselves. Since then, the Reflections Program has inspired millions of students to reflect on a specific theme and create original artwork. Each year, students in Grades Pre-K through 12 are recognized for bringing the theme to life through dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.
In 2012, the Special Artist Division emerged as an optional division for students whose physical, cognitive, or mental health challenges meet ADA guidelines. Please check with your state PTA office regarding state availability, guidelines and rules.
The flyer will be coming home the second week of school. Entries are due back to the school office by November 6th.
KWC has a new Buddy Program this year, which is designed, to help new families with the transition to Culbert.
We want our new families to feel at ease in our community. Our goal is that your FIRST connection is a LASTING connection!
What does it involve?
Current parents are asked to volunteer to be a "buddy." New families are then matched with a volunteer (Buddy Family) based on a
common set of factors.
The buddy role initially involves reaching out to the new family, and welcoming them to the community. A buddy will also invite the new family to events throughout the year.
Everyone has to buy groceries, so why not earn money for our school while you shop! Each year you need to re-Link your grocery card to support our school. It's one of our fundraisers of the year and it's FREE!
What a great way for friends, neighbors, co-workers and relatives to support our school too!
You can register your Target Red Card or register with AmazonSmile too! It's easy and it's FREE!! Link TODAY!

research has proven that children do better when their parents are involved
both at home and school. Grades are higher. Test scores rise.
Self-esteem grows. Schools improve. These are powerful
outcomes from your active involvement in your child's education, so join the
