Invention Convention
Description
Invention Convention 2016
On June 9th and 10th Leesburg Elementary will be holding Invention Convention 2016! This event is designed to promote student’s problem solving and creative thinking skills. Students will be asked to examine the world and discover a problem that could be solved. Participation is completely optional for students, and they will be working on their projects independently at home. We will offer work sessions in the library on May 24th and May 25th from 3:00 to 4:30 for students who return permission forms by May 23rd. This is a PTO sponsored event. Parent volunteers will be distributing and collecting appropriate forms and materials, as well as, making arrangements for the actual convention. Teachers and parents will help by motivating, encouraging, and advising students. The Invention Convention is a One to the World project which allows students to use critical thinking skills to creatively find a solution to a problem. Thanks in advance for your support in making this event a success.
