Circulation Policies:
A great amount of time and consideration are spent when selecting books for our school library. Our growing collection supports the curriculum in every grade level. It is imperative that library books be returned in a timely manner so that other students and teachers can benefit from borrowing books. In order for our collection to continue to grow, the books must be returned and cared for properly. If a book is damaged beyond repair or lost, it is necessary to collect payment so that we can replace it.
Under certain circumstances, students will not be denied a book if they have not returned their library books or paid for them. However, students will not be able to take any more library books home with them until they return or pay for the missing books. Instead, they will keep their books on their teacher’s desk (or other designated space in the classroom) to read during the school day. In this way, our library will not lose more books and all students will still leave the library with at least one book in their hand.
