The Loudoun School-Business Partnership will be sponsoring the Job for a Day program for high school juniors and seniors on Wednesday, November 16th and November 21st.

Students who participate in the program will spend one day with a business in the community that is involved in a career in which they are interested. The registration portal will open October 19th and close November 4th. Students will need to have a résumé in pdf format ready to upload in order to complete their registration. Students and parents will need to return a signed Parent and Student Agreement to the student’s Career Center before the student can be approved to participate.

Registration Portal open 10/19/16 - 11/4/16

This registration is open to all LCPS Juniors and seniors.  Applications are taken on a first come, first serve basis.  The deadline will close earlier if all the spaces are filled, so be sure to apply early!

The JOB-4-A-DAY program will take place on Wednesday, November 16, 2016.  There is a second date only for those students placed at Inova Loudoun Hospital on November 21, 2016.

HBCU Showcase

Wednesday November 17th, 6-9pm, Tuscarora High School, Leesburg, VA

An evening designed to expose our school community to the many options that exist by attending a Historically Black College and University.  It is our attempt to attract as many HBCUs under one roof, with the primary focus being to educate and expose our school community to these institutions.  A financial aid presentation, student panel forum, student banking information, and interaction with college admissions counselors, will be a part of the event as well.

Monroe Technology Shadow Day - 12/5/2016

Shadowing brings the classroom to life!  During our Shadowing Day, 9th - 11th graders will have the opportunity to visit two programs at C.S. Monroe Tech Center (MTC) and attend an informational session on the benefits of MTC and the application process. This is a half-day event and transportation is provided to and from our school.

Deadline for registration is 11/18/16 due to bus transportation.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS FORM REQUIRES A PARENT SIGNATURE!!! Parents must initial and check the box to give students permission to attend as this serves as the student's permission slip.

In addition to completing this form, you must fill out a FIELD TRIP PERMISSION FORM and return it to Mr. Newkirk. Your registration will not be complete until this form is received.
