Welcome to Technology
Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School
Computers are an intergal part of the curriculum at Rosa Lee Carter Elementary School. We are fortunate to have 4 computers and a SmartBoard in each classroom to help integrate technology into all subject areas. All students in grades K-5 will attend Computer Lab once a week for a minimum of 30 minutes in which the teachers will complete integrated activities based on the curriculum to broaden the students understanding through technology-rich lessons. The students and teachers have access to the lab, two laptop carts, Neo Carts, Flip Cameras, Digital Cameras, Senteos and a Smart Document Camera all provided by LCPS. In addition the RLC PTO has continued to assist in supplementing our technology needs by purchasing Ipads, a Smart Charging Cart, and Chromebooks.
As our students grow up in this digital world we, at RLC, encourage our students to grow up to be good Digital Citizens. Through the curriculum developed by Common Sense Media we will continue to educate all students about Digital Citizenship. Below is a link of the Family Tip Sheets through Common Sense Media, these provide great talking points and tip to our families.
