I am honored to be starting my third year as your assistant principal at Sycolin Creek Elementary School and my 14th year as an educator in Loudoun County. I am a native New Yorker but have lived in Loudoun County for over 14 years. My daughters have been educated in Loudoun County Schools since kindergarten. Zoe, my oldest daughter, will be a sophomore at Virginia Tech this fall (Go Hokies!) and Sophie, my youngest, will be a senior in high school.
I enjoyed getting to know the students and families this past year and look forward to strengthening those relationships as we move into the next school year. Welcome to the families and students who are new to Sycolin Creek this year! Please be sure to introduce yourselves and let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you with your transition to our school.
As your assistant principal, one of my goals is to be an effective instructional leader where students are able to develop to their fullest potential under the rigorous academic leadership of our dedicated teaching staff. I will continue to focus on being an effective communicator with the students, staff, and parents that comprise the Sycolin Creek community. I believe a positive and dynamic school environment can be created by building relationships with all the members of the school community. I continue to be amazed by the wonderful teachers, parents, and students that make up the Sycolin Creek community. It is going to be another great year at Sycolin Creek Elementary and I look forward to spending it with all of you!
