  Meet Mrs. Textoris

It is such an honor to be a part of the Sycolin Creek family!  I look forward to getting to know Sycolin’s teachers, families, and students and welcome you to stop by and introduce yourselves.  This is my twelfth year working for Loudoun County Public Schools.  I have taught first and second grades here in Loudoun County at Ashburn Elementary and Tolbert Elementary.  Last year I was the Administrative Intern at Liberty Elementary.  I am excited to have the opportunity to be the Assistant Principal at Sycolin Creek!

Prior to teaching I worked as a recruiter for eleven years while living in Florida and Oregon.  I have two children; Zoe is a senior and Sophie is a sophomore in high school here in Loudoun County.
I am a native New Yorker and have enjoyed living in New Jersey, Florida, Oregon, and now Virginia.  I like to go to new places and challenge myself to try new things.  My challenge last year was to complete a triathlon.  I loved it so much I did two as well as a duathlon and century bike race.
When I decided to become an educator I went back to school to earn my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Marymount University.  I love school so much I went back again and completed my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University in December of 2012.
I am looking forward to a great year at Sycolin Creek Elementary!
Go salamanders!
