3rd Grade / Welcome

to Third Grade

My name is Mr. Douglas Margarucci and I am again the third grade teacher at Aldie Elementary. I am both enthused and excited about the upcoming school year and I am looking forward to working with your children.

Before moving to Loudoun County I was an elementary classroom teacher for 35 years, and for six of those years as a computer technology teacher in a suburban school system of Buffalo, NY. The 2005-06 school year was my first in Loudoun County as a third grade teacher at Aldie. The previous two years I was a technology assistant at Harmony Intermediate School in Loudoun County. I have taught 3^rd grade for 4 years and fourth grade for 1 year .

Both my wife and I were born and raised in the Buffalo area and have two children and a two granddaughters. My daughter is a reading teacher in Loudoun County and my son is an athletic trainer for a high school in Colorado Springs.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my years at Aldie and I am grateful for the cooperation I have received from the school staff, parents, and students. I am looking forward to the upcoming 2010-2011 school year.
