Jennifer Scott is joining Sterling Elementary School as Principal after serving the Lowes Island Elementary community for four years prior. Ms. Scott received her Bachelor’s Degree from James Madison University in 1999 and taught eighth grade students with Learning Disabilities in Augusta County at Beverley Manor Middle School for one year prior to moving back to the Northern Virginia area. She spent the next six years as an eighth grade teacher for students with Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disabilities at Woodbridge Middle School in Prince William County where she also served as the Special Education Department Chair. In 2006, Ms. Scott earned her Master’s Degree from George Washington University in Education Administration and Supervision. She spent the next three years serving Bel Air Elementary School as the Instructional Consultation Team Facilitator working with teachers to improve their instructional practices in order to meet the needs of every student in the classroom. In 2009, Ms. Scott joined Loudoun County Public Schools as Assistant Principal of Lowes Island Elementary. Ms. Scott is excited about her new role and the new community she serves!
