It is with great excitement that I join the Sanders Corner community as the new assistant principal! Sanders Corner is known as a caring and community focused school that holds high academic standards and it is my privilege to begin to work with the exceptional learning teams that support the continued academic and personal growth of all of our students.
I have worked in Loudoun County Schools for 16 years, first as a school counselor at Ashburn Elementary and then as an Administrative Intern at both Mill Run and Seldens Landing Elementary Schools. I have also served as a Summer School Principal for three terms. Prior to working in Loudoun County, I enjoyed teaching Pre-School, Middle School Language Arts, and Second Grade.
I attended the University of Tennessee Knoxville earning a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education in Multiple Disabilities. I also completed the Masters program in Psychological Services-School Counseling at Marymount University and earned a second Masters degree in School Administration and Leadership from George Mason University. Additionally, I recently completed the Special Education Leadership Certificate Program through George Mason University.
As an assistant principal, I want to enrich and support student learning with teamwork and collegiality while making learning fun and meaningful for each student. I look forward to getting to know and working with our students, staff, and families. Go Dolphins!
