We have many exciting activities planned for this year. You are welcome to stop by and join us anytime!
We welcome Ms. Holly Hoey to our music team this year! Ms. Hoey will be at Lowes Island on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and will teach all of our 3rd grade classes. Ms. Hoey is also the full-time music teacher at Meadowland Elementary.
Mrs. Betty Tatum is the full-time music teacher at Lowes Island. She will continue to teach our 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th grade classes.

First through fifth grade students receive two thirty-minute periods of music instruction weekly. The students will have many opportunities to explore, create, read and perform music. We use the Silver-Burdett series, "Making Music," as our basic text. This program offers many innovative resources that will give our students even more musical opportunities!

The music room is also equipped with a Promethean Board, computer software, and a variety of musical instruments including xylophones, metallophones, World Music Drums, and un-pitched percussion instruments.
