Katherine Moravek ~ Library Media Specialist
Mrs. Moravek is the Library Media Specialist at Leesburg Elementary. This is her seventh year with Leesburg Elementary. She has been a school librarian for 16 years. She began her career in Arlington County, Virginia. She has also been an elementary school librarian for Fairfax County Public Schools. Ten years ago, Mrs. Moravek joined Loudoun County Public Schools and helped open Countryside Elementary in Sterling, Virginia. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a masters degree of Information and Library Science from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. She enjoys spending time with her family and visiting new places. Mrs. Moravek looks forward to working with students, staff and parents of the Leesburg Elementary community to continue to build a strong library collection. Through the library, Mrs. Moravek will also help to nurture a love of reading among students and teach them the many valuable resources the library holds.
Lisa Klug ~ Library Media Assistant
Mrs. Klug is the library assistant at Leesburg Elementary School. She has been the assistant for the library since 2004. Mrs. Klug previously worked in the field of Archaeology as Paleoethnobotanist (the study of plant resources from prehistoric sites) at UCLA. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology at the State University of New York at Binghamton, and her Master of Arts degree in Anthropology at New York University. She enjoys being a docent for the National Museum of Natural History. Her favorite activities include bringing in materials from nature and integrating them with the elementary school curriculum.
