Mrs. Christiansen Steelers About Mrs.Christiansen Steelers
 
Mrs. Christiansen is thrilled to be teaching fifth grade at Hamilton Elementary again this year.  Mrs. Christiansen is originally from Wheeling, West Virginia, (near Pittsburgh), where her family still resides.  She comes from a family of educators. Her mother,who retired this year, and grandmother were both preschool teachers, and her father taught middle and high school students. Presently, she lives in Stephenson with her husband, daughter, son, and two cats.
 
Mrs. Christiansen has a Bachelor of Science degree from Shepherd College and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Shenandoah University.  This is Mrs. Christiansen's tenth year teaching.  She taught fourth grade for eight years at Evergreen Mill Elementary before joining the Hamilton staff.  Mrs. Christiansen was honored to be nominated for the Agnes Myer Outstanding Teacher award in 2009-2010. She has also been nominated to Who's Who Among America's Teachers.  In 2010, Mrs. Christiansen achieved National Board Certification.
