Mr. A

                              Mr. Jim Alexander                                    
Mr. Alexander graduated from SUNY Oneonta with both his BS and MS in Elementary Education, and completed his Certificate in Education Administration at Shenandoah University. This is his seventeenth year teaching and second in third grade at FHR after two years as a fifth grade teacher and Administrative Intern. He previously taught fifth grade at Lovettsville Elementary for seven years, third and fifth grade at Potowmack Elementary for three years, and fourth grade in Manassas Park for another three. Mr. Alexander is also certified in K-12 Health and PE, and coached varsity cross-country and soccer. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, exercising, and cheering on his favorite New York teams. Mr. Alexander is very excited about the upcoming school year, and looks forward to working with the students and parents of the third grade.

Mrs. Archer has graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies in Math and Special Education.  She also graduated from Frostburg State University with a Masters in Education Curriculum. This is her tenth year teaching in Loudoun County and sixth year at Frances Hazel Reid.  Mrs. Archer has previously taught at Pinebrook Elementary in Aldie, in third and fifth grade.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, golden retriever Rudy, and daughter Cora.   She is a huge Red Sox baseball fan!

Mrs. Heather Connally

The 2014-2015 school year is Mrs. Connally's ninth year at Reid. She is looking forward to another great year in third grade. Mrs. Connally is a graduate of Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.  She enjoys spending time with her husband Dan, son Michael, and hound dog Duke!
 
 
 Gotts 
 
Ms. Gottschalk graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a dual degree in elementary and special education. She completed graduate work in special education at San Diego State University. She taught two years in New York state, thirteen years in California, and has been teaching in Loudoun County since 2005. She is excited to begin another great year at FHR!
 

Ohmer

Mrs. Ohmer graduated from Vanderbilt University and worked as a Systems Analyst for 12 years.  After 10 years at home full time raising three children, she began substitute teaching for Loudoun County Public Schools.  That experience motivated her to pursue her teaching license and to teach 3rd grade. This is her 7th year at Reid.  She has a son who has recently graduated from VCU School of the Arts, a son at James Madison University, and a daughter at Tuscarora High School (a FHR graduate!). She enjoys traveling with her family, taking long walks with friends, reading, and Sudoku. 
 
 Mrs. Salberg

Mrs. Heather Salberg 

Mrs. Salberg is excited to be beginning her 10th year of teaching! She spent 8 and 1/2 of those years teaching 4th grade in Minnesota. Last year she was hired mid-year as a fifth grade teacher at FHR.  She is thrilled to be staying at FHR for the 2013-2014 school year and excited about joining the terrific 3rd grade team.  Mrs. Salberg earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Concordia University in St.Paul, MN and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts in Education at Hamline University in St. Paul, MN. She knew at a young age that she wanted to be a teacher and feels as if she is living out her dream everyday. Mrs. Salberg believes that being a teacher is the best job on earth!  In her free time Mrs. Salberg enjoys reading (mostly children's books), organizing, pinning on Pinterest and spending time with her wonderful husband, Perry, and two sons Isaiah and Noah. She is looking forward to an inspiring 2013-2014 school year.
