Ms. Nicole Lutz - 1st Grade ELL Teacher
I am very excited to be part of the ELL team at FHR this year. While I am new to FHR, this is my twelfth year of teaching. I spent the past three years as an ELL teacher at Sterling Elementary School. I began my teaching career in Alexandria, VA where I taught middle school ELL for five years before becoming a teacher specialist for two years. I have worked with first through fifth grade ELL students as well as seventh and eighth grade ELL students, across all content areas and at all levels of English language acquisition, from basic to advanced.
I graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, have a Master’s Degree in ELL from George Mason University and I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Reading and National Board Certification.
I live in Leesburg with my husband and our two young sons. I look forward to working with the first grade ELL students this year. Please contact me with any questions or concerns at firstname.lastname@example.org
