*Learn2Earn Read-a-Thon- Read a minimum of 20 minutes per day and record on your reading log
*Raz-Kids- Read online and take comprehension quiz
*Dreambox- A minimum of 20 minutes per day is optimal
*Reflex- A minimum of 15 minutes per day is optimal
Keep a journal detailing the activities you did each day, especially if you went outside and played in the snow!
Remember to use complete sentences, proper punctuation, and adjectives in your writing.

Meet The Third Grade Team
Katherine Hackett grew up in Loudoun County and is a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools. She received her undergraduate degree from James Madison University and her Master's Degree from Arizona State University in Early Childhood Education. In her spare time she enjoys reading, exercising, playing and watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. Miss Hackett has had the pleasure of working with many different grade levels over her past three years at Belmont Station and is very excited to be back with the third grade team for another school year! She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. She is looking forward to another great year!
Rich Hammler is from New Jersey and has been living in Leesburg for 18 years. He earned a Bachelor's in History from Gettysburg College and has a Master's Degree from Shenandoah University. He has been married to his wife Katie for 23 years and has an awesome son and a wonderful daughter. He has worked in Loudoun County Public Schools for 16 years and is thrilled to be at Belmont Station.
Kerri Kauffman is looking forward to an exciting third year in third grade! She graduated from East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania with an Elementary and Special Education Degree and her Master's Degree from George Mason University in Integration of Technology in the Classroom. She previously taught Kindergarten for two years. She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Science. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She is looking forward to another awesome year at Belmont Station!
Nicole Leonard grew up in North Hills, just outside of Pittsburgh. She moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1998. While living with her aunt, she attended Towson State University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She also attended Western Maryland College, where she received her Master's Degree in Special Education. She has taught in Baltimore City, as well as Howard County, before moving to Virginia. She has been teaching for 23 years, fifteen of which have been in Loudoun County. She is looking forward to a fantastic year, here at Belmont Station! Her oldest daughter, Alyssa, attends Penn State University, Brenna attends Stone Bridge High School and her son, Bobby is a sixth grader. Most of her spare time is spent taking her children to their activities.
Lauren Wilt is very excited to continue her fifth year at Belmont Station Elementary as a third grade teacher. She has a Bachelor of Science from VCU and her Master's Degree from Texas State University in Elementary Education. Mrs. Wilt is a native to Loudoun County. She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and playing soccer.
Jennifer Pauley has been teaching in Virginia for twenty-one years, fifteen of which have been in Loudoun County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Radford University. Additionally, she has a Master of Elementary Education from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Pauley will be teaching Language Arts, Math and Science this year. Her hobbies include gardening and reading, as well as spending time with her family. She has two beautiful daughters, Corinne and Morgan.
Erin Savage is one of the original staff members of Belmont Station from its opening in 2004 and is thrilled to be supporting the third grade team as a resource teacher this year. She graduated from George Mason University with a BIS degree in Assistive Technology in Special Education and is excited to have the opportunity to provide students the skills to be independent learners. Her husband and her are originally from New York and have two grown sons. They love to travel, play golf and enjoy all that the Washington DC area has to offer.
Tyler Webb is very excited for another year on the third grade team at Belmont Station! He is a Loudoun County native, graduating from Stone Bridge High School in 2009 (Go Bulldogs!). Mr. Webb traveled southward to attend Radford University, graduating with his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and earning his Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction. Mr. Webb will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Science. When Mr. Webb is not teaching, he enjoys working out, playing or watching sports, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Webb is looking forward to making this year exciting, positive, and full of great memories!
