SOL Testing Window Announced:

Please be mindful that all Virginia Public Schools will be participating in the 2014 Standards of Learning Assessment Program.  Belmont Station has established the following schedule for SOL testing for grade three:

 May 13-Social Studies

 May 19-Reading Part 1

 May 20-Reading Part 2

 May 29-Math Part 1

 May 30-Math Part 2

June 6-Science

 To prepare students for the SOL tests, we will teach test taking strategies and review content material. (We strongly suggest you review study guides, study math facts and continue working on Study Island) 

Meet The Third Grade Team
 
 
 
 
 
Rich Hammler is from New Jersey and has been living in Leesburg for 18 years.  He earned a Bachelor's in History from Gettysburg College and has a master's degree from Shenandoah University.  He has been married to his wife Katie for 21 years and has an awesome son and a wonderful daughter.  He has worked in Loudoun County Public Schools for 14 years and is thrilled to be at Belmont Station.
  
Katie Hunt is excited to continue her second year at Belmont Station as a third grade teacher. She recently graduated from James Madison University with her Master of Arts in Teaching where she also received a degree in Elementary Education. Miss Hunt will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies this year. She loves reading, spending time with her friends and family, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. She is a Loudoun County Public School graduate and is thrilled to be continuing her career here.

Kerri Kauffman  is looking forward to an exciting year in third grade! She graduated from East Stroudsburg University, Pennsylvania with an Elementary and Special Education Degree. She previously taught Kindergarten for two years. She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Science. She enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family. She is looking forward to another awesome year at Belmont Station!

Nicole Leonard grew up in North Hills, just outside of Pittsburgh.  She moved to Baltimore, Maryland in 1998.  While living with her aunt, she attended Towson State University and received her bachelor's degree in elementary education.  She also attended Western Maryland College, where she received her master's degree in special education. She has taught in Baltimore City, as well as Howard County, before moving to Virginia. She has been teaching for 21 years, fourteen of which have been in Loudoun County. She is looking forward to a fantastic year, here at Belmont Station!  Her oldest daughter, Alyssa, attends Stone Bridge High School, Brenna attends Belmont Ridge Middle School and her son, Bobby is a fourth grader.  Most of her spare time is spent taking her children to their activities.
 
Lauren Wilt (formerly Malan) is very excited to continue her third year at Belmont Station Elementary as a third grade teacher. She is a recent graduate from Texas State University with her master's in elementary education. She has a Bachelor of Science from VCU.  Mrs. Wilt is a native to Loudoun County.  She will be teaching Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies. She enjoys reading, spending time with her family and playing soccer.  
Jennifer Pauley has been teaching in Virginia for nineteen years, fourteen of which have been in Loudoun County. She has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Radford University.  Additionally, she has a Master of Elementary Education from Shenandoah University. Mrs. Pauley will be teaching Language Arts, Math and Science this year. Her hobbies include gardening and reading, as well as spending time with her family. She has two beautiful daughters, Corinne and Morgan.
 

Ryan Rogers is originally from upstate Pennsylvania in a little town called Sayre.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Towson University in Baltimore, Maryland.  He graduated in December of 2004 and soon after moved to Loudoun County.  He is the father to two beautiful girls and has been enjoying every moment with them.  He is also the varsity wrestling coach at Briar Woods High School.  This will be his ninth year at Belmont Station and he is honored to teach your student this year.
