Ms. Eleanor Bussey is the SEARCH Teacher for Banneker, Hamilton, Hillsboro, Aldie, Round Hill and Lincoln Elementary Schools. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Shepherd University in West Virginia. She also holds a Master's Degree in Instructional Communication from West Virginia University. Prior to becoming a SEARCH teacher, she taught third grade for several years. Her Gifted Endorsement was earned at the University of Virginia.
SEARCH, Loudoun County's gifted program for students grades K-3, focuses on higher level thinking skills. Her goal is to ensure that children develop the many ways in which they think by encouraging them to "think about thinking!" She also believes all children should
be given the opportunity to learn in a warm and positive classroom climate. Education is a priceless gift that cannot be taken away.
Ms. Bussey lives in Charles Town, WV with her daughter, Mary.
