Welcome Third Graders!
I want to welcome all the new 3rd Graders. I hope that you are having a great summer. There are a couple of things that you need to do to be ready for school in August. The first is that you need to be sure and read for at least 30 minutes every day. Take a book with you to the pool and read it during the breaks every hour. Read what interests you so that you can share your favorite books with the class this year. Second, be sure to spend some time reviewing the math skills that you learned in 2nd grade. A fun way to review is to play license plate games like adding or subtracting the numbers that you see on the license plates of the cars around you. I hope that everyone has some fun experiences from this summer to share with your classmates when school starts.
