BWHS Scheduling Program for 2013-2014

 

It’s hard to believe it, but it is already time to plan for the 2013-2014 school year!  At BWHS we have developed a comprehensive scheduling program that helps students and parents make the best course choices possible.  Below is a detailed timeline for our scheduling program (dates may change due to snow days!).  Please see the bottom of this page for additional information and scheduling worksheets.

 
 

January 7, 7:00pm

Information Night for Parents of Rising Freshmen
A copy of the powerpoint, and additional information can be found on our  Presentations page.  A video of the event will be posted soon!
 

January 14, 7:00pm

BWHS Scheduling Information Night for Parents

Counselors will provide information regarding graduation requirements, courses for next year, and the course selection process.

Department chairs and teachers will be available to answer your questions about specific courses.

January 22 – 25

Classroom Scheduling Information Sessions

Teachers will discuss their department’s course options for next year.

 

January 28 – February 8

Teachers’ Course Recommendations

English, math, science, and social science teachers will submit course recommendations for their students.

 

January 28 – February 6

Scheduling Presentations

Counselors will facilitate classroom presentations to review graduation requirements, courses for next year, and the course selection process.  Students will choose their electives at this time. 

 

February 7 – 11

Middle School Scheduling Presentations

Counselors will visit SHMS and ERMS.

 

February 19 – April

Individual Student/Counselor Scheduling Conferences

Counselors will facilitate individual conferences with students to refine their course choices.  Students will receive a copy of their requests for parent review.

 

March 1

Monroe Technology Center Applications due to the BWHS Counseling Office

 

May

A copy of the Course Selection Form will be sent home for final parent approval.


June 14

Deadline to change student course requests.  We cannot make changes to course requests after this date.
