Congratulations to Stone Hill’s Level 2 guitar students for earning a SUPERIOR rating in the Music in the Parks Festival last week.  The 8th grade second year players were joined by several 7th grade guitarists for a single rehearsal last week, and together these students from six different guitar classes worked as a team to produce some very fine music and earned top scores from the instrumental judges. We recognize this achievement was made possible because every single student made a genuine effort at home and at school to learn the music and supported each other as part of a musical team.  Way to go guitar students!!!  We look forward to hearing you Thursday night here at Stone Hill.

ATTENTION STAFF:  Please be sure to submit the Thanksgiving Break Shutdown form Ms. Clark sent you earlier this week.  We need this done before you leave today.  Please see your assigned house dean if you have any questions or concerns.

We have a couple of Staff Stingrays that we would like to pass along.

Ms. Michaelian would like to present her stingray to an individual who shows tremendous commitment to her students on a daily basis.  She is always available to students during her lunch, planning and after school.  She can often be seen counseling and advising students who need extra help or just a supportive adult to listen to them.  She is constantly searching for new technology that would enhance her students' learning and engagement.  She teaches two content area classes, two different grade levels, holds multiple parent meetings and is a valued part of the learning specialist team.  She even has time to decorate our classroom - without her influence and decorative touches, Resource 1 would be a very cold, and boring room.  For all these reasons and more, Ms. Michaelian would like to present the stingray to Ms. Dellinger.

Our next stingray is being passed along from Mr. Kaylor. This goes to a person who is always busy, always involved. In particular she has been awesome in helping to bring a very exciting project to life for the entire 8th grade with her knowledge and excitement for rocketry. This project is a great example of how she is always trying to make learning more fun.  This ray is for Ms. DeWees!

Staff and Students Have a Happy Thanksgiving and enjoy your holiday break.  We will see you all next Monday!
