I am a native of Virginia and grew up in Arlington.  After graduating from James Madison University with a BS in psychology and a minor in middle grades education, I returned to the Northern Virginia area and found a home in Loudoun County.

This begins my 19th year working for Loudoun County Public Schools and my seventh here at Sterling Middle.  I was a dean for five years and I am excited to be starting my third year as assistant principal.

Before coming to Sterling, I taught eighth grade physical science and was the science SALT for seven years at Farmwell Station Middle School in Ashburn. However, I began my teaching career at Douglass, the alternative school for the county.  At Douglass, I taught all middle grade levels and core subject areas.  In addition to my teaching experience, I have a MA from Shenandoah University in Educational Administration.

I am looking forward to continuing to be a part of Sterling Middle School and the Sterling community.  Here, every child matters and it is wonderful to see so many of our students reach their full potential and experience success.

I look forward to working with the parents, teachers and students this year to make these transitional years smooth and the middle school experience a positive one.  Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance to you.
