This is Mr. Dolson's second year at Park View High School as principal. He holds a bachelor's degree in English and a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in secondary English both from Virginia Tech.
After spending 5 years in the classroom, which include two years teaching English at Park View, he obtained his administration certification from George Mason University and became a middle school administrator serving 7th grade teachers and students. He then spent 5 years as Loudoun County's School Assistance and Remediation Programs Coordinator during which he assisted all schools in the county with school improvement efforts including but not limited to differentiation, vocabulary strategies, and adolescent literacies. He also helped lead and develop the county's approach to Response to Intervention (RtI). He then served as an assistant principal at Potomac Falls High School for four years.
Mr. Dolson has been an active member of the Virginia Association of Teachers of English (VATE) and served as President of the association in 2013.
Mr. Dolson lives in Leesburg with his wife and three children.
