It is with great pride that I begin my third year as Principal of Mercer Middle School.  I consider myself incredibly fortunate to work with a fine group of professionals as well as amazing parents and students.

In August, the Mercer staff took the opportunity to review data related to student achievement and further develop our School Improvement Plan.  Specifically, this year we will continue to focus on the overall school climate and school safety.  Additionally, we will create within our school structure opportunities for professional collaboration as it relates to instruction and assessment.  It will prove to be a phenomenal year for learning!

As we look ahead to the coming year, I wish to emphasize and remind parents about the importance of involvement in their student’s life.  It is the advocacy for your middle school student and communication with our teachers that will ensure that your student will achieve at high levels at Mercer and beyond.
