·         The Boys Varsity Tennis Team took home a win last night with a 5-1 victory over Park View.  The doubles matches were being played when rain ended the match.  The Vikings were leading in all the doubles matches when the match was called.

·         Attention all Vikes!  SCA’s annual senior versus faculty basketball game is on Friday, March 27th.  Bring a dollar, which benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation to watch the game.  If you’re a senior and interested in playing, a sign-up sheet is located in the Mixing Bowl.

·         Are you interested in big trucks and tractors?  Come and have a hands-on experience by coming to PCC Big Truck Day!  You will be able to push buttons, beep horns, enjoy the bells, whistles and sirens as you climb on and explore various trucks, tractors and more!  Location:  Philomont Community Center, all 540-338-5882 for more information.  Event will be rescheduled if there is inclement weather.  Monday, April 6, 11:30-1:30 p.m. - $5 per child – price includes hotdog, drink and chips.  Children two and under are free!  Parents not eating are a free admission.

·         Don’t forget to bring in plastic bags for the Bags to Benches program.  We’ve collected 40 bags in the three months the program has been going on.  We’re over halfway there but still need 24 more 30-gallon bags so make sure to bring in your plastic bags!  Collection bins are located in the Main Foyer, Viking Head Foyer, and Mixing Bowl.

·         In association with Valley’s DECA Chapter, Men’s Warehouse will be here today during lunch to take orders for prom tuxedo rentals.  Guys, if you’ve not rented your tux yet, you’re running out of time and we want you looking good for the big night??  As a bonus, watch out any deals they might offer.  Men’s Warehouse will make a donation to the DECA members qualifying for their international competition in Orlando, FL this coming April  For every tux rented by a Valley student, a $5.00 donation will be made to their trip fund.  Help yourself and help us make the stage.

·         Thanks to all students who took part in Tuesday’s Virginia Math League test.  You did an amazing job.  Leading the way, by scoring a perfect 6 were Luke Thornburgh and Isaac Peterson.  Also, the following students did a great job by scoring a 5:  Matt Eberhart and Charlie Ratliff.  Also Sammy Iliff, Robert Fox, Peter Morris, and Adam Broskevitch did well by scoring a 4!  Thanks to all of the students for a great job this year!  Many thanks to all of the teachers for their support of the Virginia Math League test this year.

·         Congratulations to the Loudoun Valley Debate Team:  The North Conference Champions in Debate!  In Public Forum, Ariel Santikarma and Izzy Tucker beat John Champe.  The 1st place Winning Public Forum team for the evening was Noah Mussmon and Ian Gallagher.  The 1st and 2nd place winners in Lincoln Douglas were Sam Burridge and Lizzie Manero.

·         The Annual Spirit Club Charity Tournament is here!  Get your dodgeball team of eight together today!  Sign-up sheets are in the Main Office and the Aux Gym Foyer – due by March 20.  The fee is $25 per team.  The tournament will start on March 23rd and run all week at 8:00 a.m.  The championship game will be played at halftime during the Faculty-Senior Basketball Game on Friday!  All proceeds go to the Sara Willis fund.
