This is Mr. Powell's first year with Park View High School, as an Assistant Principal, but this is Mr. Powell's 7th year serving in public education. Prior to serving at PVHS, Mr. Powell was the Dean at Freedom High School in South Riding, VA. Before transitioning into administration, he served as a middle school mathematics teacher and an adjunct professor at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana; teaching Multicultural Education within their Teachers College in Educational Studies.  While teaching 8th grade math at Fall Creek Valley Middle School in Indianapolis Indiana, Mr. Powell served as the head boys and girls track coach and also was an assistant basketball coach at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis Indiana.

Mr. Powell earned his bachelors of arts in Education from Anderson University in Anderson Indiana and earned his masters from Ball State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision K-12.
