Ms. Goodwin, Librarian

Ms. Goodwin attended Loudoun schools and graduated from Loudoun County High School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shepherd University.  She received her Masters of Science degree from Longwood University.  After teaching in elementary school for 10 years, she decided high school would be a fun new adventure.  Ms. Goodwin feels privileged to work in the J. Pearson Library at Broad Run High School because she is friends with Mrs. Pearson, for whom the library is named.

Mrs. Moran, Librarian

Mrs. Moran has been an educator with Loudoun County Public Schools for the last fifteen years. She has taught at Lowes Island Elementary School and River Bend Middle School, and is now very excited to be part of the Broad Run Spartan staff!

Education is Mrs. Moran’s second career; she was a psychotherapist before she started her family. She received her B.A. in Psychology from UNC-Wilmington, and has a master’s degree in clinical psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. She earned her M.Ed. from George Mason University and her library certification from the University of Idaho.

Mrs. Moran lives with her husband and four cats – three Birmans and a Siamese mix. She has four children all of whom have graduated from LCPS schools, including a step-daughter who graduated from Broad Run High School. She loves to travel, play with fiber arts, do yoga and, of course, read!

Mrs. Larsen, Library Assistant

Mrs. Larsen was born in Loudoun County long before Broad Run was built!  She attended Waterford Elementary and Loudoun Valley High School, then she received her B.A. in Art History from the College of William and Mary and her Masters in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Her mother was librarian at Waterford Elementary and J.L. Simpson Middle School and her 4 children attended Loudoun County Public Schools. Moving often as a military wife for 30 years, she has worked at many kinds of libraries, but most recently she was the library assistant at Lucketts Elementary for 8 years.  Mrs. Larsen loves sharing library treasures with library users!
