We’d like to welcome you and introduce you to our organization. PTO is different from the PTA in that it is not a nationally recognized organization. PTO is a better option for small schools like Culbert. We do not pay dues to any larger organization and we do not charge a membership fee. So if you are a parent, you are a “member” of the PTO.
We encourage everyone who can donate some time to do so. It’s a great way to meet people and we are always looking for new ideas and new energy! Our monthly meetings are listed here.
We are pleased to announce Ken Culbert’s second Read-A-Thon – “Cuddle Up with a Good Book”! This is our BIGGEST fundraiser of the year! Please help us reach our goal in any way you can and support KWC student literacy at the same time! This event is designed to encourage our students to read as well as raise funds for our school.
We are hoping to reach our goal of 200,000 minutes read this year! Our number one goal is to encourage our students to reach 200,000 minutes read. Our secondary goal is to raise $25,000 to support ongoing student programs at Ken Culbert.
Our Read-A-Thon will kick-off on Friday, September 30th with a PJ party and Storybook Parade at school. Read-a-thon will end on Wednesday, October 19th.
