On CallVolunteering

Copying: We need volunteers to copy and distribute PTA special flyers.  This is on an as-need basis.

Baking: For special events we need bakers to provide special treats for our teachers/staff. 

Artistic Talent/Decoration help: We have manyevents at Culbert that require artistic talent; for example making bulletinboards; decorate school for special events (such as Dr. Seuss birthdayweek) 

PTA SpecialEvents Volunteering

Directory: Help with data entry and proofing, distribution.

Ice Cream Social: Help set-up, serve, clean-up

WATCH D.O.G.S

After School Activities: Determineclasses, set schedule, distribute/collect registration forms, oversee classes

Lavender Fundraiser: Help with distributing and collecting forms,distributing orders. 

Movie Night: Help with set-up and clean-up

Spirit Nights: The chair of this committee would coordinate with localbusinesses to host family evenings where PTA gets percentage of the profits.

Spirit Wear: Help with distributing and collecting order forms,delivering orders to students in classrooms.

Science Fair: Help with set up and clean up, coordinate event with school.

Classroom/PTA liaison: Receives information re: ongoing PTA events and is the point of contact for parental questions/concerns about anythingrelating to PTA or school events.  May also help organize room parents for certain special events (basket raffle, Staff Appreciation Week).

Talent Show: The chair of this event would distribute fliers, approve acts,coordinate rehearsals, oversee rehearsals, plan sequence of show, createprograms, help oversee rehearsals, help acts obtain needed props, set up andclean up evening of event.

Hospitality: Help with set up, serving, clean up at various Hospitality hostedevents.

Bingo Night: Chair needed to plan event, obtain materials needed, overseeevent.  Help with set up/clean up. 

SchoolVolunteering Needs

School Pictures: Escort classes to the photo locationat their time. Help comb and "primp".

Vision Screening: Assist school nurse with organizingstudents for screening.

Hearing Screening: Assist school nurse with organizingstudents for screening.

Book Fair: Assist the librarians in the libraryduring the book fair.

Classroom Volunteers: Volunteer in your child'sclassroom, copy for teacher, help with special classroom events.Relay for Life:Volunteers needed to assist with coordination.

Field Day: Assist PE teachers during field day. Work stations in shifts.

Periodic Special Help: Many specialists in our schooloften need volunteer help for setting up for special events or classroomprojects (ie: reading specialist)
