All About Ms. Leslie
Jennifer Leslie is beginning her fabulous eighteenth year of teaching music in Loudoun County! She opened Arcola Elementary as one of the inaugural staff in 2007, and before that, she taught at Emerick Elementary in Purcellville. She is a native of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and a graduate of West Chester University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education, a certification in Orff-Schulwerk, and a Masters of Education in Administration. Ms. Leslie is a member of the Music Educators National Conference (MENC), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE), and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association (AOSA).
Ms. Leslie’s love of music extends to all areas of her life from directing the Drama Club at Arcola Elementary to choreographing and directing children's theatre in the summer. She has danced ballet, pointe, and tap with Loudoun Ballet, and is now teaching at Studio Bleu Dance Center in Ashburn. Having been to Walt Disney World more times than she could ever count since the age of three, Ms. Leslie now helps families plan their own Disney vacations. When Mrs. Leslie is not singing on the stage or dancing in the wings, her favorite place to be is cheering for her talented dancing and dramatic three daughters on the stage or trading pins in Walt Disney World!
