Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Dave Cramer. I taught for 9 years in Warren County, VA (8 years in 5th grade). This is my fourth year at Pinebrook. Joining the Pinebrook community was the best decision I have made. My colleagues, students, and the families I work with in this community have been fabulous. I really feel like the education of our students is a team effort. It is an ideal situation when parents and the school can work together.
Before beginning my teaching career I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). Along the way I married my wife, Jane, in 2001 and now have 2 great kids. My daughter, Kaitlin, is 9, in 4th grade and my son, Grady, is 4 and has all the attitude to go with it. In 2006, I earned my Masters degree in Educational Leadership, and one day hope to move into administration. I love teaching and enjoy watching students learn!
Hailing from Western Pennsylvania, yes, I love the sports teams from Pittsburgh, even the Pirates. Each Monday morning you will find me sporting my black and gold even if the Steelers lose.
I am looking forward to another great year and I am eager to begin working with our upcoming 5th grade students! I have heard many good things! I come into each school year with very high expectations for my students, so come ready to work hard and have fun!
