AR will maintain the point values this year. WE will continue awarding tags to be collected on a chain as incentives this year. I will discuss these policies with all 3^rd thru 5^th grade classes starting in September. We will continue to accumulate points until sometime in May . I will let you know when the system is up and ready for students to take tests. Here are the goals for this year.

3^rd grade – 15 points per 9 weeks

4^th grade – 20 points per 9 weeks

5^th grade – 25 points per 9 weeks

At the end of every 9 week grading period there will be an assembly to honor all students who meet their goal. All 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th grade students will assemble in the gym for an AR assembly. Students who meet their goal for the first time will receive a chain and a tag for the first 9 weeks. The next time they meet their goal, a new tag will be given.

Yearly Goals

3^rd grade -- 60 points

4^th grade -- 80 points

5^th grade -- 100 points

*** For students who have a modified goal, teachers will need to let me know quarterly if goals have been met. These students will receive tags according to their individual goals.

JP Events & Consulting has offered to provide incentives for our reading program this year. At the end of every quarter, every student who reaches their goal will have their name entered into a drawing and 1 student will receive a gift card to spend at one of the stores in the Wegmans shopping center. At the end of the year, 1 boy and 1 girl who reach their yearly goal will be picked to receive a free bike.
