The 2015-2016 school year will be Mrs. Alberth's 19th year as a middle school counselor in Loudoun County and her 7th year at Stone Hill Middle. She is very excited to continue working with the rising 8th graders and their families this school year!
Mrs. Alberth received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Health and Human Services at the University of Buffalo. She worked for a year at a residential facility in the Buffalo area as a counselor, and then returned to the University at Buffalo for her Masters in School Counseling.
This year Mrs. Alberth will continue working with our 8th graders in the areas of academics, career exploration, and social/emotional concerns. This coming year Mrs. Alberth will be focusing on the transition to high school for our eighth graders, which will include: the application process for TJHSST and the Academy of Science, course selection for ninth grade courses and a trip to the high school in the spring. Mrs. Alberth will also be working with our rising 6th graders and elementary schools this spring on the transition to middle school.
Mrs. Alberth works with students in classrooms, small groups and individually. This is a collaborative effort that involves consultation with parents, teachers, and students. Please do not hesitate to call or email her with any concerns or questions or to set up a parent/teacher conference. She can be reached at (703) 957-4420, or firstname.lastname@example.org
