Eighth Grade Band Students

Marching at Loudoun County High School

When?  Thursday,  September 18, 2014

What time?  5:30 p.m.  Students should be in the LCHS Band room at 5:30.  The game starts at 7:00.  The band marches to the stadium at approximately 6:15 p.m.  We play before the game.  Parents will need to pay admission.

Where is the band room?  If you are on Catoctin Circle, headed west past Catoctin Elementary, make your first left after crossing Dry Mill Rd.  You will be entering one of the parking lots, and will be pointed right at the band room.  You should see lots of musicians going inside.

What should they wear to the game?  Spirit wear (Simpson or LCHS shirt or sweatshirt), jeans, and sneakers.  Please do not wear shorts or flip-flops.  Bring a jacket, sweatshirt, or sweater. Be prepared to dress warmly.   It might be chilly.

How long do the eighth graders stay?  They need to stay until the band has finished their half time show performance.  The eighth graders will perform at Pre-game, sit with the LCHS marching through the first half of the game, and watch the half-time show performance.  After the half-time show, all 8th grade band students will go, as a group, to the band room to put away their instruments.  You may pick them up, from the band room, to go home at this time, OR they can return to the stadium with me, to meet you, to watch the rest of the game.  Parents need to meet me at the admission gate.  Those staying for the rest of the game need to pick up their instruments from the band room when the game is over.

Please return the commitment form at the bottom of the page no later than Fri, Sept 5.

Please return only the bottom portion.  Keep the top portion.  Lots of important info!!
