STUDENT SCREENING

All children enrolling in public schools for the first time will be screened in the following areas: speech, voice, language, fine and gross motor, vision and hearing.  All students enrolled in grade seven will be screened for vision and hearing defects.  Those children failing a screening procedure or who are found to need further testing in any of these areas will be referred for follow-up and monitoring. 

This year our vision and hearing screenings will be done on Nov. 16 & 17, 2005 during your child's PE class. Please make sure your student wears their glasses/contact lenses for the screening.
