Welcome!
My name is Nancy Woods. This is my thirteenth year teaching at Broad Run. Go Spartans! I teach Teacher Cadets and Early Childhood Education I & II (ECE I & II). Career and Technical Education classes offer students a chance to explore new interests and develop career ideas.
ECE students work in Spartan Early Learning Center, the lab preschool at Broad Run. For more information, please click on the Early Childhood Education link on the left of the screen.
Teacher Cadets are high school seniors interested in exploring a career in education. TCads complete observations in the fall, and a 40+ hour field experience in the spring. For more information, please click on the Teacher Cadet link on the left of the screen.
Educators Rising is our co-curricular student organization for Teacher Cadets and students interested in exploring a career in education. As Teacher Leader, I facilitate student opportunties to tutor in our feeder schools and to provide service at Broad Run and at our feeder schools.
I earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on Instructional Technology in the K-12 Classroom, at George Mason University. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Management and Administrative Leadership, at Old Dominion University. I am endorsed to teach courses in Family and Consumer Science, Business and Information Technology, Marketing, and W!SE Personal Finance. I am an adjunct professor at Shenandoah University.
I look forward to another great year at Broad Run High School. Most resources may be accessed via the Resource link on the left of this page. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
