Click on the calendar page to view homework assignments and upcoming tests/quizzes (if possible, I will attach a copy of the homework on the date it is assigned).  Although it is not always listed, students should be reading at home every night.  Click on the handouts link to find copies of class notes.

Take a look at some books I have read, and recommend to my students!  (Please keep in mind that my students read at different levels, so all books might not be appropriate for all students).       (http://pinterest.com/tabrahamsen/http://pinterest.com/tabrahamsen/       www.goodreads.com  (and search for my name).

Battle of the Books Comes to Seneca Ridge!
SRMS will be participating with 10 other LCPS middle schools in a Battle of the Books competition for the 2014/2015 school year.  There will be monthly meetings during lunch to prepare for the competition.  Want to get a head start?  Read the books over the summer!

 - Legend by Marie Lu (one of my favorites!)
 - Lincoln's Grave Robbers by Steve Sheinkin
 - Trash by Andy Mulligan (another great read!)

Looking for some other good books to read?  The following are the middle school Virginia Reader's Choice Books.  Mrs. McBride will once again hold book clubs bi-monthly to discuss the books.
 - Endangered by Eliot Schrefer
 - One for the Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
 - Bomb - The Race to Build and Steal the World's Most Dangerous Weapon by Steve Sheinkin
 - Cinder by Marissa Meyer (Loved it!)
 - Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lia
