 Dr. Timmons                                                              
             Welcome to CHORUS!
     Welcome to SRMS Chorus!  To get started, here's a little bit about the director!
     Dr. Timmons is now entering her 17th year teaching here at Seneca Ridge Middle School!  She holds both her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Degrees from The Juilliard School, where she also held a Teaching Fellowship there for 3 years.  Her Teaching Certificate is from Adelphi University, New York.  In 2004 she received a Doctor of Arts Degree from George Mason University.  She has had additional musical studies and solo performances too at the Ecole d'Art Americaines in Fontainebleau, France and at the Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt, Austria. 
    Other appearances by Dr. Timmons have included performances in: 
New York's Carnegie Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Juilliard Theater,  Paul Hall,  Juilliard Recital Hall, WNYC, and WQXR New York Radio Stations; The Brand Library & Art Center in California; The Gailliard  Municipal Auditorium in Charleston, SC; and the Soave School (Italy).
    Dr. Timmons has written/composed quite a few literary and musical works, including Musical Theater in the 21st Century Community College, published by ProQuest, University Films International (UMI), and George Mason University.
     Dr. Timmons is listed in Who's Who in America (61st Ed. 2007 & 60th Ed. 2006), Who's Who in American Education (2007-2008 Ed. & 7th Ed. 2005), Who's Who of American Women (25th Ed. 2005, 23rd Ed. 2002, & 19th Ed. 1995), and Who's Who in Entertainment (3rd Ed. 1997).
