2016 Regional Science & Engineering Fair (RSEF)
The purpose of our fair is
to stimulate student interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)
to encourage students to engage in research in STEM fields,
to provide students opportunities to present their research to STEM professionals and the community, and
to give public recognition to students for their work. The 35th Annual LCPS Regional Science & Engineering Fair (RSEF) involves over 220 high school students from Loudoun County Public Schools. Students are selected to attend the RSEF by their schools. This year the RSEF categories include:
Sciences, Behavioral and Social Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical and Health
Sciences, Cellular and Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computational Biology and
Bioinformatics, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Embedded Systems, Energy:
Chemical, Energy: Physical, Engineering Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Materials
Microbiology, Physics and Astronomy, Plant Sciences, Robotics and Intelligent Machines,
and Systems Software.
The 35th LCPS RSEF will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Freedom High School in South Riding, Virginia. The fair opens to the public at 6:00 pm with the awards ceremony at 7:00 pm.
