Loudoun County Public Schools Department of Pupil Transportation
About Us LCPS Department of Pupil Transportation operates and maintains a fleet of nearly 776 school buses that travel approximately 9 million miles annually serving more than 57,000 students. Home-to-school bus transportation is furnished for students in grades K-5 who live more than .8 (eight tenths) mile from school, for students in grades 6-12 who live more than one mile from school, and for any student who would otherwise have to walk to school over a hazardous route. All students are afforded transportation services for various trips throughout the school year. School bus schedules are available at all schools and on our web site under the Bus Runs by School heading to the left.
We are pleased to announce that the Special Needs Team (driver and attendants) from Bus 706, has been awarded the Sure-Lok Above and Beyond Award. This award commends our team for their dedication to their children and for going above and beyond in transporting them to and from school. The Sure-Lok award was presented at the annual Virginia Association for Pupil Transportation Conference in Roanoke, Virginia, on June 24, 2009. LCPS Pupil Transportation was chosen as one of School Bus Fleet Magazine's "Top 100 School District Fleets" and as the Virginia selection for "Great Fleets Across America."
